It is almost that time of year again when Santa Rosa lights up the night with its brightly lit holiday tree, and the whole community is welcome to come together and join the celebration
This free, all ages event will kick off when The Jolly Old Elf Santa arrives, waving from atop a fire truck. All will be welcome to have their photos taken with hm and also to honor the first responders who protect the city every day of the year.
While they wait for the switch to be thrown to light the tree, the guests can enjoy the festive atmosphere of the occasion. Both food and beverages will be on offer, including free hot chocolate for the kids. The adults can warm up with a glass of wine or beer, and cookies will also be served. The younger attendees can take in a live performance, visit one of the bounce houses, or have their face painted, and all of this will be on offer before the main event.
As in previous years, the ceremony itself will include both a Remembrance Candle Lighting and also the grand tree lighting. Festive Banners that include logos from any companies or groups that sponsor the event can be prepared for this sort of occasion by a banner printing company.
Santa Rosa’ Courthouse Square will be hosting this opening to the holiday season on November 23. Janet Rogers can be contacted with any questions at (707) 545-1414.
