Locals are gearing up for several races in Santa Rosa.
The Santa Rosa Marathon, half marathon, and 5K all begin in Juilliard Park and go through downtown Santa Rosa. The half marathon loops back and the marathon continues through West Sonoma County and a local vineyard.
After the race, participants can check out the post-race festival at Juilliard Park where there will be a pancake breakfast, a beer and wine garden, and a farmers’ market. Kids can enjoy games and inflatables. Companies will be passing out free samples too.
Adult registration costs $40 for the 5k, $130 for the half marathon, and $145 for the full marathon. After August 1, registration goes up another $10. Meanwhile, 5K registration for children, 16 and under, costs $25. After August 1, the youth price goes up $5. A wide variety of printing services have probably been used to promote the races.
Marathon and half marathon runners will be given a bottle of wine, a zip up jacket, and a medal, while 5K participants will receive a t-shirt and a medal.
Packet pickup will take place on August 21 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m and August 22 from 10:00 a.m until 6:00 p.m at the Santa Rosa Marathon Expo at DeLoach Vineyards.
Marathon participants should be ready to run on August 23 at 6:00 am. The half marathon begins at 7:00 am followed by the 5K at 8:00 am.
