Santa Rosa fundraiser all about salmon

Protecting rivers in the watershed that surrounds Santa Rosa can do a lot more than just help keep salmon numbers stable. Those who care about these waterways and the creatures that call them home can make a difference by attending a fundraising dinner that will soon be held, and everyone is welcome to be a part of this salmon celebration.

Anglers and others who care about the health of the region’s rivers will be gathering for this year’s Golden Gate Salmon Association’s annual fundraising dinner. Both North Coast Brewing and Queen Charlotte Lodge have been generous in their support of the event, and proceeds will be used by the organization to build and maintain salmon runs and also the watersheds these fish call home.

Guests at the function will be served a dinner and there will be lots of opportunities for them to mingle and share their best fish stories. Some lucky attendees will be going home with a raffle or door prize, and any companies or individuals who would like to contribute of money or a gift in kind for the occasion will find their donation is most appreciated. Oversized photos of the work the group is doing to help protect waterways can give guests a sneak peek into how their support is making a difference, and these can be prepared for an event like this by an area poster printing company.

The Friedman Events Center will be welcoming guests to this fundraising event on April 12th starting at 6:00 pm. Anyone who would like to make a donation or needs more information can contact Cat@goldengatesalmon.org.
