Santa Rosa crafters set to get hopping

Santa Rosa will be one of the stops for an event that will have area needlecrafters on the move.

The Wine Country Yarn Hop will introduce crafters to the selection of shops that can provide them with a wide selection of yarns and other supplies they need to complete needlework projects, and there will be at least six stops. Each shop will be following Covid prevention protocols, and anyone who would prefer to do their browsing and buying from home will be welcome to take advantage of the event’s online version.

The "hoppers" will pay a small admission fee, and will receive a passport card as well as a reusable tote bag printed with the Wine County Yarn Hop graphic design. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Empire Food Bank, and at each shop, the holder will be able to have their passport stamped for entry in the draw for one of the grand prize crafting baskets.

In an effort to accommodate as many people as possible, the public can choose to attend the function in person, online, or both. A poster printing company will have an assortment of ways to make sure this type of community wide event is well publicized throughout the area.

Tickets for this fiber fiesta, which will run from July 22 to July 25, go on sale on July 22. More information about the activity is available on its website.
