While Santa Rosa may enjoy snow-free winters, its families will still be able to enjoy some frozen fun next month.
The organizers of the community's usual Snow Days celebration explained that while they are not able to host this activity this year, they will still have a special day on offer. Dubbed “Frozen Frenzy,” it will be an icy experience, and a call has gone out to the public seeking help in making the festivities a success.
The plans for the day include ice painting as well as bubble snow, arctic games, and other fun. It’s open to both Museum members and the general public, and entry to the event is included in admission to the site. The venue is accessible to those with mobility issues.
The planners of this revamped celebration have made a request to any members of the public who may have access to a freezer. They are asking for people to help prepare ice in any containers they might have on hand, and it was noted that the more area residents contribute, the better the festivities will be. Flyer printing offers a convenient and often thrifty way to help spread the word out about a special event.
Frozen Frenzy will bring frosty looks to Santa Rosa on February 19 from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. The Children’s Museum of Sonoma County will be the host of the celebration.
