Santa Rosa businesses can benefit from Latino conference

Now in its 15th year, the Annual Latinos in the Workplace Conference is designed to help employers and business owners develop work environments that are safe and productive for Latino employees. It also focuses on how best to develop Latino employees into future leaders.

Topics are varied and diverse, covering immigration, diversity, safety, cultural understanding and employment law. The workshops are designed to teach how to better understand Latino culture so that organizations can better communicate policies and procedures on issues such as safety, and education and wellness.

When it comes to Sonoma County, businesses in Santa Rosa stand to gain the most from this conference. Recent figures show Santa Rosa's Latino community constitutes the highest percentage of the population than any other area city, at 32%. Santa Rosa's school-age population is even more diversified, meaning that the number of workers from Latino families going into the manufacturing, agricultural, and construction industries in Santa Rosa is only going to grow in number.

Tickets are $60. At events such as these, business owners, human resources managers, and other leaders will use professional Business Cards printing services in an effort to better network and share information and ideas.

The 2020 Latinos in the Workplace Conference is, at the time of writing, scheduled to take place on Thursday, May 21 from 7:30 am to 11:30 am at the Flamingo Conference Resort and Spa, 2777 4rth Street, in Santa Rosa.
