Santa Rosa is set to host its annual marathon this August, and runners are already preparing for what this year's competition will have to offer.
Similar to previous events, it is possible to participate in full marathons as well as half marathons, 5K, and 10K races.
The course of the half marathon will run through downtown Santa Rosa, and conclude at the Prince Memorial Greenway. Those who will be participating in the full marathon will instead see this trajectory extend into West Sonoma County, offering scenic views of nearby vineyards.
The marathon will feature several aid stations along the course. These are generally located between 1.5 and 2 miles apart. Aid stations provide items such as water and electrolyte drinks to runners, with stations 6, 8, and 10 also offering Tri-Berry GU Energy Gel.
Competitions such as this employ a variety of methods to keep contestants informed. Local brochure printing services can be used to distribute itineraries to the public. Other techniques might include banner advertisements and radio announcements.
The 2025 Santa Rosa Marathon is taking place between Saturday, August 23 and Sunday, August 24. Both begin in downtown Santa Rosa, and the exact courses will vary in accordance with the type of event. More details, including ticket prices, can be found by visiting the official Santa Rosa Marathon website.
