Locals embrace their Italian side

Santa Rosa residents can enjoy a free, all-day event that celebrates Italian heritage.

The Italian Rootstock Festival is a family friendly event that will feature an exhibit about Sonoma County’s Italian history.

Guests can enjoy a wide variety of Italian fare, including well-known treats like pizza and lesser-sampled fare like sausage and pepper sandwiches. There will also be wine and beer tastings, along with a juice bar. Sweets like ice cream and cannoli will be available too. In addition, vendors will be on site selling specialty Italian food, jewelry, scooters, and handmade items.

Kids can get their faces painted, enjoy a game of bocce ball, stomp on grapes, or take a picture in the photo booth. Guests can also enjoy music from an accordion player, a choral group, and other performing artists. Other highlights include making pizza and viewing chalk art.

Guests can take part in a silent auction that will benefit the North Bay Italian Foundation’s Santa Rosa JC Scholarship Fund.

The event has a variety of sponsors. It is likely these organizations took advantage of a Logo Design service to create a memorable emblem for their brand. These designs can be used on promotional items such as Business Cards and Flyers.

It all takes place on October 17 from 1:00pm until 8:00pm. The festival will be held at Santa Rosa Vintners Square located between 1301 and 1305 Cleveland Avenue.
