The streets of downtown Santa Rosa will be full of colorful classic cars this summer for Peggy Sue's All-American Car Show and Cruise.
It is the 18th year for popular event, which includes a display of hundreds of custom, stock and classic cars, plus a parade of shined up classics down Santa Rosa streets.
Besides cars, the event features live entertainment, food and adult beverages and a Pin-Up Girl contest. The event celebrates the golden age of the vehicle in America, which was the 1950s and ‘60s.
The party actually gets started on the night before the car show, where classic cars owners are invited to a drive-in movie. The movie has yet to be confirmed.
Cars must be registered by Monday, June 8 to be eligible for judging. The winners in various categories will be announced on the afternoon of the show.
Admission is $5 for adults for the car show. Children under 12 are free, and there is no admission fee to watch the cruise on Saturday evening. No parking is allowed on the cruise route on the afternoon of June 13 along any of 4th and 5th Streets, Mendocina Avenue, and B Street. Banner printing and flyer printing are important elements of events such as this one to inform the public of temporary rules and restrictions.
Peggy Sue's All-American Car Show and Cruise is scheduled to take place Saturday, June 13 from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds, 1350 Bennett Valley Road in Santa Rosa. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, check your local listings as it approached to confirm the date and times.
