Residents in Santa Clara are working on the Warrior pose and practicing their Sun Salutation to get ready for the 2017 Hatha Yoga Fest.
The three-day event will feature techniques, tips, and more for everyone interested in yoga, and several different schools of the spiritual exercise will each get their due at the event.
The festival is divided into sessions that will stretch across different time blocks and even days, covering such themes as Angamardhana, Yogasanas, and even Pregnancy Yoga. Attendees should note that once they have begun with a session, they should continue their participation throughout the rest of the sessions.
The purpose of the event is to go beyond informational Brochures or technical charts and instead give participants practical experience with several different techniques and approaches to yoga. Attendees should bring their own mat, water, and outfit, and should come with an empty stomach before each session since eating beforehand is not recommended. Lunch is provided with most sessions.
The Hatha Yoga Fest will be held from March 17 to 19 from 7:30 am to 8:00 pm at the Santa Clara Convention Center, located at 5001 Great America Pkwy. Attendance is $325 for a two-day pass and $400 for a three-day pass when ordering before February 28. Anyone interested in more info should visit the event’s website.
