Santa Clara to host retro-themed gaming exhibition

Although digital games are a sign of the times, plenty of fans still enjoy a dose of nostalgia. An upcoming fair offers a unique opportunity to roll the clocks back, and to experience the golden era of arcade games.

A classic arcade games festival simply known as California Extreme takes place in August. This event will be showcasing pinball machines, arcade games, retro consoles associated with the 1980s, and similar systems that are likely to bring back plenty of memories. All games are set in free-to-play mode. They can be accessed at no charge once an entry fee has been settled.

In addition to the games themselves, several other attractions have been announced. These include tournaments offering prizes, seminars led by developers, and a handful of keynote speakers associated with the gaming industry. This festival is open to all ages.

Events associated with past trends are likely to use retro-themed branding within their marketing campaigns. This often includes approaches such as flyer printing with neon themes, Posters providing pertinent details, and Brochures that can be obtained before entering the premises.

The 2026 California Extreme arcade festival is being held on Saturday, August 8th, and Sunday, August 9th. Doors open at 11 AM on both days. All activities are taking place within the Hyatt Regency Santa Clara located at 5101 Great America Parkway. Two-day passes cost $65 per person.
