Jobseekers in the Santa Clara area are looking forward to the latest event from the Santa Clara City Library Foundation and Friends.
‘Partnering with Recruiters’ is a workshop dedicated to help those looking for work take advantage of an unexplored resource.
Many career hunters know that the best way to an interview is to stand out from the crowd, but many are left nonplussed as to how to do it. Tips like utilizing a social network or creating a paper résumé can be helpful, as can polishing a LinkedIn profile or purchasing personalized Stationery. However, the workshop emphasizes that what jobseekers need now more than ever is an ‘in’.
The goal of the workshop is to discuss current application strategies and their problems while also outlining a strategy for seeking out company recruiters. Recruiters have unique access to a company, know the application process, and can teach a candidate how to line up with the company’s values. A rising star in the recruiting field will lead the discussion, showing how to find recruiters and network through a little hard work and creativity.
Partnering with Recruiters will be held on March 28 from 7:00 am to 8:30 am at the Northside Branch Library, located at 695 Moreland Way. Admission is free, but registration is required. Anyone looking for more information should visit the website.
