Santa Clara practices mindfulness at yoga expo

Residents of Santa Clara and the surrounding area are rolling out more than welcome mats as they get ready for the Yoga Expo.

The all-day event is aimed at raising awareness of both mind and body, with exercises, food, and meditation.

The expo features a mix of local and national yoga instructors. Over 100 different classes and workshops will be offered during the day by over 50 different yoga studios, meaning visitors can easily find a teacher and a routine that works for them, whether they are yoga novices or experts.

The event will also feature several workshops and classes on meditation. The expo promises that it will teach a variety of effective techniques and the spiritual wisdom that goes along with them. There is still space for groups interested in teaching yoga or meditation classes or performing a demonstration. Business Forms are available on the website for those looking to sign up.

In addition, the expo will have a number of hand-picked vendors offering healthy, plant-based food for attendees to eat. Other vendors will also sell basic ingredients including organic, vegan, non-GMO, and gluten-free options, and will also provide education about best eating practices for a healthy lifestyle.

The Yoga Expo will take place this Sunday, July 24, from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm at the Santa Clara Convention Center, located at 5001 Great America Pkwy. Tickets to the event cost $35 a person. Anyone interested in more information should visit the website.
