As many adults look forward to midnight parties and late nights, the 31st often doesn’t mean much for children other than the changing of their Calendars. To help them enjoy the day, the Northside Branch Library in Santa Clara is celebrating the Third Annual Noon Year’s Eve Party.
The event features all of the fun of a New Year’s Eve Party, but at a more reasonable time for younger kids. Instead of a countdown to midnight, participants will celebrate at the stroke of noon, ringing in the ‘noon year’ with juice and fizzy drinks instead of champagne. The celebration will provide a great end to the morning, and is being billed as a fun outlet for children wanting to enjoy the holiday.
The party will be filled with music and dancing, thanks to the entertaining combo of DJ Kevin and MC Cheryl. They will play a variety of popular tunes for children, and lead guests in a variety of dances and some fun games. Additionally, there will be special surprises and treats given out throughout the morning.
The Noon Year’s Eve Party will be held on December 31 from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon at the Northside Branch Library, located at 695 Moreland Way. Admission is free to the public, but preregistration is required. For more information, visit the website.
