Santa Clara event to feature a weekend of farm-themed fun

Gravenstein apples are just one of the agricultural commodities grown in the Santa Clara area, and they will be given pride of place in an area festival that celebrates its farming heritage.

Artists, farmers, craft beer and cider makers, chefs, artists, winemakers, and craftspeople from all over Sonoma County will be joining together for a two-day celebration in Sebastopol, and there will be something on offer for every age and interest.

Two stages will be set up for the event, and a variety of performers will keep the crowd entertained. A least 30 vendors from all over the county will have stations set up so that when it is time for a bite to eat, the attendees will many options to choose from. There will also be a chef’s tent, do-it-yourself workshops, a children’s area, an artist’s corner, ‘Life on the Farm’ exhibits, and demonstrations.

General admission tickets are being sold for both adults and children, and for those who want an even richer experience, an artisan tasting lounge will offer curated drink and food pairings. Print shops can be counted upon to provide any printed materials needed to ensure that an event like this is a huge success.

The Gravenstein Apple Fair will open its gates to the public at 10:00 am on August 11, and it will also run on August 12. It has been organized by Sonoma County Farm Trails, and more details can be found on its website.
