Santa Clara event focuses on fun theme combo
A Santa Clara event is bringing together the community through a celebration of fandoms in a popular type of game. This experience will be taking place in the middle of May.
Hype Con Bay Area: Sports & TCG Edition is a convention that focuses on the world of collectible trading cards and the games associated with many of them. Other items from included fandoms are also sold by some vendors.
Some of the fandoms included in the event are Pokémon, One Piece, Star Wars, various sporting leagues, Yu-Gi-Oh, and Magic the Gathering.
Vendors will include people and groups in areas like crafting, art, tcg shops, authentication services, resellers of collectibles, and gaming venues.
The expo is open to all. Individuals aged up to 12 do not require a paid ticket. Sales are done via EventBrite for those who do. At the time of writing, an early bird price of $12.51 is available, and it will continue to be through May 7th. The regular price is $23.18. A VIP option is $49.87.
The venue, Santa Clara Convention Center, has parking that will be accessible to Hype Con guests for free. Many participating vendors, including both sellers and companies alike, will have some sort of promotional products made prior to an event to ensure there is an easy form of advertisement to hand out to customers. The expo will be open on May 17th, from 11:00am to 5:00pm.
