Santa Clara art museum host talk and reception

Santa Clara Triton Museum will be saying goodbye to artist Miha Sarani with an Artist Talk and Closing Reception in mid-May.

The event will be a closing reception for The Punctum Void: A Miha Sarani Retrospective currently being displayed in the museum, and the artist will be giving an in-depth talk into his creative process, the significance of the work and its comment on modern society as well as history.

The Punctum Void is a culmination of 10 years of the artist's work as he moved through figurative to abstract using various styles and mediums like graphite, charcoal, ink, watercolor, gouache and acrylics. He has also been known to use coffee and red wine. Guests will get to view the exhibit before it closes.

Sarani is also a musician, and his music is being featured in the museum's Digital Gallery.

The event will be open to the public, with free admission and parking, and light snacks and refreshments will be served.

Museum shops often have pictures taken of exhibits that have been shown in their building. They take the photos to local Stationery printers to be made into post cards and all-occasion notecard sets to sell back at their store.

Miha Sarani - Artist Talk and Closing Reception will take place Saturday, May 11th from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the Triton Museum of Art, 1505 Warburton Avenue.
