Popular comedian to perform new show

A well-known comedian will be making a stop in San Jose, which is just a few miles from Santa Clara, in late February.

Margaret Cho got her start at just 14 after claiming the victory in a contest, with the prize giving her the opening slot on a tour headlined by Jerry Seinfeld. After intros to television by Bob Hope and Arsenio Hall, she got her own sitcom for a short time in 1994, which was called All-American Girl. Since then, she has been nominated for Grammy awards, toured with Broadway shows, acted in shows and films, given comedy tours, and competed on both Dancing with the Stars and The Masked Singer.

The Fresh off the Bloat Tour is her latest adventure, which was previously cut short by the Covid-19 pandemic. The shows in San Jose will be held at San Jose Improv. The venue has a two-item purchase requirement, which includes alcoholic drinks, non-alcoholic drinks, or food. Flyer printing is often used for the promotion of comedy shows.

Tickets cost $25 each, or $75 for a set of four. There are four shows over the course of two days, taking place at 7:30 pm and 9:45 pm on February 25, as well as 7:00 pm and 9:30 pm on February 26. The doors will open an hour prior. Guests will need to have a valid ID in order to purchase alcohol, and must be at least 18 to enter the venue.
