This holiday season, California’s Great America is offering a unique opportunity for those in the Santa Clara area to view the park and enjoy a race at the same time.
Participants in this activity will be given complimentary admission to Winterfest, as well as the chance to hang out in the park during the day. There will be multiple options: a one-mile fun run, a 5k, a quarter marathon, a half marathon, or the five-hour lap race for the dedicated runner. Each finisher also gets a medal – those participating in more than one race get medals for each race.
The half-marathon comes with a new option this year: relay. If participating in a relay, the transition area will be in the Great America Pavilion, and will have ongoing food and entertainment.
The different options have different registration fees, and participants can register on site as well. All participants enjoy free parking day of the race, as well as a ticket to Winterfest that is good any day. The park is also offering discounted friend and family tickets day of.
Events like this often benefit from printing services. They may have a banner to denote the start or end line, and each participant will have a printed number. They may also have promotional materials available before the event. The race is currently scheduled for Saturday, December 22. Start times vary per race.
