Dessert favorite to be center of festival

Donut Fest Silicon Valley will take place in Santa Clara in late October.

The event highlights local donut shops, as well as providing beer or coffee along with the food. In addition, other beverages will be available for kids or adults who are driving or want something different.

Donut samples will all be at least a quarter of a product, but some may be full-sized as well. Guests can go from stand to stand as they gather samples, allowing them to get to know the people behind the product and perhaps collect Business Cards

In addition to the tasting, there will be merchandise featuring a donut graphic design, a donut eating contest, a raffle, photo ops, goody Bags, prize giveaways, and a vote for the best donut.

VIP tickets get attendees an extra beer ticket, as well as the goody bag, prize giveaways, and a raffle ticket. They also give buyers the opportunity to enter at 1:00 pm instead of the later entry of 3:00 pm. These cost $25.

There are designated driver and child tickets available for $10, with general admission being $15. The event staff ask everyone to be safe and respectful of each other, as well as abiding by the safety guidelines in place at the time of the festival.
