Golfers have an intriguing event on the schedule that should be both challenging and fun.
The Loma Club is presenting its first April Glow Ball, in conjunction with Second Chance Beer. The Glow is a round of golf played at night, after participants enjoy a beer from Second Chance to welcome them to the evening. The balls used to play golf at night glow in the dark, which makes the event even more fun. Night golf is often played on courses located in regions where most nights are warm, such as San Diego, and sometimes floodlights are used.
The Loma Club dates back to the 1920s, when it was part of the San Diego Country Club (SDCC). In 1914, the SDCC merged with the Point Loma Golf Club, which was created by A.G. Spaulding, creating a city landmark. The Loma Club is now located in Liberty Station, an area that was redeveloped from the land that was once the Naval Training Center. The club was once called the Sail Ho Golf Course, where such stars as Phil Mickelson and Craig Stadler took part in various tournaments.
Check-in for the event starts at 6:30 pm, and the round commences at 7:30 pm as a shotgun start—meaning everyone tees off simultaneously, though from different holes. Brochure printing can be used to create informative pamphlets for participants in events like this.
The Glow Ball is scheduled for April 2, from 6:30 pm until 9:30 pm.
