More than 50 Latin American artists from both the United States and South America will display their works at the first Latin American Art Fair, coming up soon in the Barrio Logan neighborhood of San Diego.
The event was once called the Latin American Art Festival, but since it has now been organized to take place both indoors and outside, the ‘Fair’ designation was deemed more appropriate, according to Aida Valencia, who is the fair’s co-director. In addition to being renamed, the fair has also found a new home in Bread & Salt, which is a center for experimental arts.
Valencia says the fair will feature works by newcomers, as well as established artists. In addition to the artwork itself, there will be live entertainment provided by dancers and musicians from Tijuana, Oaxaca, Guatemala, and Peru. Border X Brewing will host a beer garden, and local vendors will provide tasty cuisine. Organizers of events like this can use banner printing to create colorful, festive Banners to decorate the venue.
The fair will begin with a VIP reception for galleries and art collectors from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm on October 12. The fair itself is open to the public, and is set for October 13 and 14, from 11:00 am until 6:00 pm both days. Tickets are $20, and may be bought at the door, or online.
