Brit Floyd pays tribute to Pink Floyd, whose album “Dark Side of the Moon” defined them as a group, critics say, and whose psychedelic, blues-rock-jazz sound wins new fans year after year. The album went to the top spot on the Billboard 200, spent more than 900 weeks in total on the charts, and sold more than 45 million Copies. Pink Floyd formed in 1965 in London, where they became known for their psychedelic rock, philosophical lyrics, and extravagant live performances. They are one of the most influential and successful bands in music.
Brit Floyd got together in Liverpool in 2011, thanks to Damian Darlington, who had spent 17 years with The Australian Pink Floyd Show, and felt a different band could be even more effective in recreating the look and sound of Pink Floyd. They have been so scrupulous in their work that members of the original band have occasionally joined them on stage.
