Three organizers who previously worked on Oysterfest got together to create a festival that celebrates music, food, and drink. The organizers broke down what works best for San Diegans and concentrated on that. In addition to live music, local vendors will be on hand with craft cocktails and beers, tasty food, and handmade craft items.
Music is arguably the highlight of the day. The lineup is subject to change, but thus far includes the artists Kyle Smith, Makua Rothman, and Barrington Levy; and the bands Goldfinger, and Atmosphere, with Sublime as the headliner. Sublime formed in 1988 in Long Beach, California, and charted with their third album, “Sublime.” The track “What I Got” was a No. 1 hit, as was “Santeria.” A review of Sublime in concert says:
“The band’s ability to capture the essence of their recorded tracks in a live setting was remarkable.”
The festival is slated for Waterfront Park, a beautiful green space in the city’s downtown. The park is located across the Embarcadero from San Diego Bay and close to attractions like the San Diego Maritime Museum. San Diego Bayfest is set for July 20, and the fun lasts all day. When events of this type are planned, organizers will often reach out to printers to use poster printing to create advertisements.
