A two-day convention is coming to San Diego, and should provide fun for everyone.
For the third year, the Annual San Diego Rocket Con will bring lovers of comics and toys together. Attendees will be able to look over the unique goods offered by a number of vendors, who have everything from games and comics to statues. There will be special guests, including experts in cosplay, for fans to meet and take photos with, and illustrators to chat with in Artist Alley.
The event has been rescheduled from earlier in the year, so people planning to attend should check to see if someone they want to meet specifically is still confirmed to attend. Among those listed for the original date are voice actors Mary Elizabeth McGlynn, Rob Paulsen, and Steve Blum; and actors Tracy Lynn Cruz and Carla Perez.
People who enjoy cosplay will have a chance to meet professional cosplayer Lisa Pinelli, and Odin Abbott, who build the kinds of weapons and props that enhance many costumes.
One of the major draws of this type of convention is the people who illustrate comic Books, and many artists will be on hand, including Disney artist James C. Mullingan.
Rocket Con will be held at the Scottish Rite Event Center August 1 and 2, from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm both days. Tickets are now on sale, and flyer printing can be used to create handouts for attendees of this kind of event.
