The Raveonettes are vocalists Sharin Foo and Sune Rose Wagner, with Foo on bass guitar and Wagner on guitar. The two met in Copenhagen, hit it off, and began working on their debut EP immediately. “Whip It On” dropped in 2002, and every song on the EP was in the Bb minor key. The effort got positive reviews, and the two added Jakob Hoyer and Manoj Ramdas, and landed a slot at the SPOT festival in Aarhus.
Their sound is reminiscent of the close harmony of the Everly Brothers, who were an inspiration for them. Now, they are celebrating the 20th anniversary of their debut.
Also on the bill is Wild Pink, who got together in 2015 in New York City. They released several EPs before dropping their self-titled debut album, which earned them comparisons to bands like Death Cab for Cutie, modified by American rockers like Tom Petty and Bruce Springsteen. They have been called:
“. . . one of indie’s best emerging bands.”

The bands will be at the Music Box on Saturday, June 8. Organizers of shows like this often use poster printing to create advertising for them.
