An unusual music festival is returning to San Diego for the seventh year.
The 7th Annual Island Vibe Music Festival presents musical performers from throughout the Pacific, including Melanesia, Micronesia, and Polynesia. Not only will attendees enjoy the music of the islands, but there will also be cultural dancers, vendors with merchandise from the islands, Apparel, art, and delicious typical island foods.
Braddah Z will be the host, with Ilima-Lei Macfarlane acting as special guest host. Kona Brewing will be on hand with a beer garden, and DJ Jstylez and DJ Akrite will handle the tunes during the breaks. Performing live on stage are Kekoa the Artist, Johnny Suite, Lea Love, Natural Vibrations, Anuhea, and Spawnbreezie.
Kekoa the Artist is a singer/songwriter from Hawaii. Known for his positive energy and solid values, his concerts combine hip hop, 90’s R&B, and the peaceful, cool vibes of island reggae. Johnny Suite is also from Hawaii, where he is a noted island reggae singer/songwriter. Lea Love has an easy style that people can enjoy on her YouTube videos, and Natural Vibrations, now based in San Diego, is a reggae band originally from Hawaii. Anuhea is also Hawaiian with an easy style, and cites Bob Marley as one of her influences. Spawnbreezie is a reggae artist.
The one-day festival is set for September 18, from 12.00 pm until 7.00 pm, at the Embarcadero Marina Park North. Flyer printing can be used to create schedules to hand out at events like this.
