Louisiana native Tim McGraw was trying to get his career off the ground in the early 1990s when a friend of his father’s heard some of his songs. The friend, a record executive, signed McGraw, but his first album failed to chart. However, his second effort “Not a Moment Too Soon” was a hit, topping the country charts. A year later he dropped “All I Want,” his third album, which also topped the charts and sold more than two million Copies.
McGraw married Faith Hill, another country artist, in 1996, and subsequently released another ten albums in 18 years, all of them successful. In 2006, McGraw and Hill toured 55 cities on what they called the “Soul2Soul II Tour.” The tour was a huge success, bringing in revenue of nearly $89m, making it one of the most profitable tours ever.
The artist has also made his mark on the silver screen, appearing in the films “The Blind Side,” which was a sports drama, and “The Legend,” starring Jamie Foxx.
McGraw is also known for his charitable work, which included giving a benefit concert to help flood victims, and providing transport for people stranded during Hurricane Katrina.
A review says:
“Absolutely Great. . . . He involves the fans and lets them know they matter.”
McGraw will be at the Waterfront Park in San Diego on September 10. When events like this are scheduled, organizers can turn to poster printing to create publicity.
