Depeche Mode first formed in the UK in the 1970s, moving from a sound influenced by The Cure to synthesizer work, inspired by groups such as Orchestral Manoeuvers in the Dark.
While still releasing music and touring all over the world, Depeche Mode are most renowned for their legendary back catalog. At the beginning of their career, the band shopped their demo around and signed with Mute Records, a new label at the time. By the time they dropped their third single, they had already been in the top ten, and appeared in the Top of the Pops. Their early success led up to the release of “Speak & Spell,” their debut album, which they dropped in 1981.
Their 1981 album, “Speak & Spell,” went to number 192 on the U.S. charts, while their most recent release, “Memento Mori,” released in 2023, climbed to U.S. number 14. A review says:

Depeche Mode will be at San Diego’s Pechanga Arena on December 6. The Young Fathers, a Scottish band, are their touring mates. Events such as this can be promoted when organizers use poster printing to create advertising.
