California State University Northridge will soon be hosting a live classical concert. This event features the works of two prominent composers, and the eclectic nature of the pieces is expected to draw an equally diverse audience.
The CSUN Symphony Orchestra will be performing works by Mason Bates. Known as the B-Sides, this collection is known for undertones of dance, electronica, and house musical genres. It will also display a unique combination of technology alongside classical compositions.
The second half of the concert will feature Symphony No.2 by Jean Sibelius. This is one of his most well-known compositions, and some feel that it reflects the style that Sibelius has become known for.
Both halves of this event have been chosen to complement one another. While the first section displays how technology has influenced classical music, the second half reinforces the role that emotional depth still plays when curating a composition.
Live classical performances will use tried-and-testing advertising strategies to promote what is in store. Some examples include brochure printing, distributing playbills and nearby kiosks, and creating Posters that can be hung in public locations.
This live performance will be taking place on Wednesday, March 4th. Doors open at 7:30 PM, so it is wise to arrive earlier. It is being hosted at the CSUN Plaza del Sol Performance Hall located at 18111 Nordhoff Street. Ticket prices range from $10 to $22 per person. These depend on available seating, so guests are encouraged to confirm reservations in advance.
