Fans of classic fantasy have already begun reserving tickets for a live performance that is taking place in July. This event is open to the entire family, and it is set to honor one of the most well-known writers of the 20th Century.
The CSUN Teenage Drama Workshop will be performing a live adaption of The Hobbit for Northridge guests. This novel tells the story of Bilbo Baggins, and his penchant for getting into mischievous trouble. He is tasked by Gandolf the Wizard to find a valuable treasure located somewhere within Lonely Mountain. Bilbo is joined along the way by a ragtag group of adventure seekers, and plenty of excitement ensues along the way. This story has been the inspiration behind countless adaptations, and the most famous is a film franchise of the same name.
Organizers of live performances always aim to address as large of a viewing audience as possible. This is why they will often fall back on proven marketing techniques well in advance. Some vetted methods include professional banner printing, asking fans to hand out Flyers, and placing Posters within venues associated with high foot traffic.
The debut performance of The Hobbit is taking place on Thursday, July 3rd at 7 PM. This event is being hosted by the CSUN Department of Theatre located at 18111 Nordhoff Street. General admission tickets cost $17, and children aged 12 or younger can enjoy a reduced price of $12.
