Classical music ensemble to make Northridge debut

California State University, Northridge will soon be unveiling a new musical ensemble set to make its inaugural public appearance.

Known as TEMPO, this group will perform several well-known pieces, as well as a handful of original compositions.

TEMPO will use a variety of instruments to perform these pieces. Examples include the piano, the violin, the viola, the cello, the flute, and the clarinet. They are expected to play compositions from the 20th century, and to treat the audience to a handful of original works. TEMPO has already established a name for themselves throughout the greater Los Angeles area.

This performance will also pay tribute to the 80th birthday of Daniel Kessler, who is one of the original founders of TEMPO, and also a professor emeritus at CSUN.

Musical performances will often use tangible marketing techniques to advertise what attendees can expect upon their arrival. Examples include flyer printing, handing out playbills that describe the exact itinerary, and placing Banners in locations frequented by the public.

TEMPO will be performing at Shigemi Matsumoto Recital Hall at 18236 Nordhoff Street on Sunday, February 1. The concert is expected to begin at 7:30 PM, and guests are asked to arrive in advance. Ticket prices range from $10 to $22. These will depend on seating locations, and they may be subject to change.
