Short film contest puts arts skills on display in Pleasant Hill
A short film contest is coming to the Pleasant Hill area next month, and the event is seeking local artists, actors, and writers to compete.
The artists at the Film in a Day event will compete to make the best short film, with the chosen film being aired at the Bay Area and Sacramento Film Festival. Top films also have the potential to be converted into large productions and streamed through popular streaming services.
Each participant in the film competition will receive film credits from the Internet Movie Database (IMDB). Attendees will enjoy opportunities to network with others working in the film industry. Food and refreshments will be provided to all artists participating in the competition. Spots are limited, and interested artists are encouraged to register now to ensure their place. Printing services are an excellent resource for such events to help with scripts and props.
Registered guests are encouraged to eat a large breakfast, as the provided lunch will not start until 1:30 pm. New participants are expected to arrive at 9:00 am to get a briefing on what to expect at the event.
