The band The Uninvited will be holding a release party for their new book at Back Forty Texas BBQ in Pleasant Hill.
Steven V. Taylor, the co-founder of The Uninvited, has written a memoir about his experience with the band. The book is titled The Uninvited, On The Road With The Greatest Rock Band You Never Heard and follows the group’s adventures as they try to become famous. All guests at the release party will receive a free copy of the memoir with the admission fee. Those who host events similar to this may use flyer printing to promote their parties to the community.
The Uninvited was a band from Los Angeles consisting of John and Steven Taylor, Bill Cory, and James Robinson. The group started in 1988 and released several albums, including It’s All Good, Artificial Hip, and Teenage Dance Party. The band also released other titles like Share the Brain and Successful Vegetarian. In 2002, The Uninvited went on a hiatus, but eventually reformed in 2019 and replaced the old drummer with John Messier.
The book release party will take place on Saturday, November 20 from 7:00 pm to midnight. Tickets to the event will cost $25 per attendee. Refunds will only be given out up to seven days before the event date. People interested in The Uninvited’s upcoming performances can check out the schedule on the band’s website.
