The Lindsay Wildlife Experience in Pleasant Hill will be organizing two group hikes in January at popular regional parks.
Newt Hikes are a seasonal experience where guests can watch as California newts prepare for the mating season by traversing to water pools in the wilderness. The trek will take place at Briones Regional Park and lasts for about three miles. Lady Beetle Hikes are the second excursion offered by the Lindsay Wildlife Experience. Guests will get to witness thousands of ladybugs cluster together. The Lady Beetle Hikes will be held at the Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park.
The Lindsay Wildlife Experience offers people a membership program to save on experiences like seasonal hikes. The cost to be an individual member of the wildlife center is $50, while families may become members for $90. Those who join the membership program receive discounts at the facility’s store, exclusive Invitations to events, and a subscription to the Wildlife Wonders publication.
The Newt Hikes activity will begin on Saturday, January 9. Each expedition lasts from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. The Lady Beetle Hikes start on Sunday, January 16 and will be held from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Both treks cost $15 for members of the Lindsay Wildlife Experience to join and $20 for non-members. Businesses that host outdoor excursions like this may use poster printing to let others know about the event.
