Pleasant Hill university to broadcast donor stewardship webinar

The Sanford Institute of Philanthropy at John F. Kennedy University in Pleasant Hill will be hosting a webinar that teaches viewers about proper stewardship.

The Golden Gate Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) will be organizing a live viewing of an informational webinar on donor stewardship. The session will discuss simple methods for how people can stay in touch with donors and engage board members in the stewardship process. Attendees will also learn how to make donors feel good about their gifts. Guests can also network after the webinar, so people can bring business cards to share at the viewing session.

The presenter for the event will be Mark Chilutti. He has helped support the Magee Rehabilitation Hospital by raising over $25m to make quality of life improvements for people with disabilities. Chilutti was in charge of the Creative Therapy Center and Healing Gardens campaign and is also an active member of the Greater Philadelphia AFP Chapter. He is an Eagle Scout who still volunteers and is known as a distinguished public speaker.

The AFP’s webinar will be broadcasted on Wednesday, August 19 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. The viewing session is free, though the venue would like guests to register in advance. Registration for the webinar will be opened on July 15 at 2:20 pm. Attendees can network once the video is finished until 11:30 am.
