Pleasant Hill to offer watercolor course for minors

Art Explorers Bay Area will be hosting a watercolor class this August in Pleasant Hill for students in junior high.

The Junior High Watercolor Camp is a course that teaches students about painting techniques that can be used for floral and landscape pictures. Those in the course will get to create several practice mini-paintings that help build confidence while allowing campers to try out unique painting tricks. All students will make a watercolor painting of a floral arrangement that will be matted and framed when the course is finished.

Art Explorers is an organization that teaches people the basics of painting while encouraging students to develop an individual style. The business aims to strengthen observational skills and confidence through hands-on painting experiences. There are several seasonal workshops that children can attend, featuring holidays like Mardi Gras, Halloween, and Thanksgiving. Organizers for artistic activities such as this can use flyer printing to make ads for schools and community centers.

The watercolor camp will be held from August 3rd to 7th, and each course will take place from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. The workshop will cost $255 per student, and classes will have up to 12 students. Fees for the course will include the cost of materials. The program is made for junior high students between the ages of 10 to 13.
