Pleasant Hill to hold two trial sports classes

The Skyhawks Sports Academy will be offering two trial lessons in January at Valley View Middle School in Pleasant Hill.

Pleasant Hill Skyhawks Tot Baseball and the Pleasant Hill Skyhawks Basketball Clinic are two programs that children can enter to develop their sports-related skills. The baseball class is intended for kids ages three to five and will cover topics such as base-running, coordination, and self-esteem. The basketball clinic is for children ages six to eleven and uses skill reinforcement games and interactive drills to improve each player’s confidence and passion for the sport. The baseball class will only have one session.

The Skyhawks Sports Academy is an organization that was started by Jeff Heimbigner after he realized children did not have access to programs where they could learn and develop their sports-specific skills. The current owner of the academy is Billy Goldstein, and the president is Jason Frazier. The organization offers programs for several kinds of sports, including flag football, tennis, and cheerleading. All courses at the school are tailored to introductory and intermediate players.

The trial clinic for Pleasant Hill Skyhawks Tot Baseball will be on January 24, and the free session of the Pleasant Hill Skyhawks Basketball Clinic is on January 26. Registration is required for both sports programs. Academies that offer clinics such as these may promote their courses to local students and their parents through banner printing services.
