Pleasant Hill to hold one-day biking camp

The Wheel Kids Bicycle Club will hold a biking camp for children in Pleasant Hill that starts at Pleasant Oaks Park.

The One-Day Camp at North Bay BMX is an experience for kids where they can improve their BMX biking skills. The camp is designed for those who have never ridden a BMX bike before, though the program also welcomes children who participated in past North Bay BMC activities. Students will learn about BMX riding during the camp and discover new skills they can use on the BMX track. The program will finish with a riding session at a local skate park.

The special instructor for the biking camp is Donny Robinson, who is a professional public speaker and skilled motocross racer. He has won several titles throughout his racing career, including Cruiser Grand National Champion, Junior Men & Junior Cruiser World Champion, and Elite Men Grand National Champion. Robinson first started racing at the Napa Valley BMX track when he was five. He also has been featured in publications such as American BMXer and Snap BMX Magazine.

The one-day biking camp will be on Friday, November 11 from 8:45 am to 4:00 pm. Students interested in taking the program must pay $125, and the intended age group of the BMX experience is 6 to 12. Organizations offering camps for kids similar to this may use poster printing to advertise the programs to families.
