Pleasant Hill cooking course to showcase benefits of herbs

Anna Marie Beauchemin will be giving a virtual presentation for the Contra Costa County Library in Pleasant Hill in April about using herbs to elevate cooking.

Cooking with Herbs is part of the Contra Costa County Library’s online Herbal Wellness Series. The discussion will teach people how commonly used herbs can be utilized in dishes to increase wellness and vitality. Beauchemin is a local herbalist who will detail the medicinal properties of kitchen herbs and spices while also providing viewers with many creative recipes that incorporate the plants.

Beauchemin is the founder of East Bay Herbals, which is a custom apothecary in Martinez, California. She has a Bachelor of Science in Conservation and Resource Studies and is a trained clinical herbalist. Beauchemin also has experience as a biologist, gardener, and pastry chef. Her business offers herbal consultations and hosts several wellness workshops in the community. Organizations like this offering educational programs to the public can use brochure printing to easily communicate their ideas to attendees.

The presentation will occur on Tuesday, April 13 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. There is no price to register for the broadcast, and the event is intended for an adult audience. Viewers who require closed-captioning can contact the library at least 72 hours before the program. Links to the Zoom meeting room will be sent via email the day before the presentation.
