The residents of Pleasant Hill are gearing up to mark the end of summer with the final event of 2013’s Sunset by the Lake Summer Concert series taking place in the area at the start of next month.
The show, which is being presented by Republic Services and Cold Stone Creamery, is expected to provide an eclectic soundtrack for guests to dance to throughout the evening, with a particular focus on southern R&B.
Local restaurant and catering service Taqueria Los Gallos will be on hand to provide Mexican food for guests. Its famous Taquiza, or taco bar, offers a full spread of meats, salsas and fixings for the whole family. Refreshments and desserts from Cold Stone Creamery are also available on site, with ice creams expected to sell well.
The festive atmosphere and food options are sure to draw a large crowd of Pleasant Hill residents. Local businesses are also being encouraged to assist where possible. Flyer printing services can be used to get the word out about the concert and will help to ensure the community, as well as its businesses, can benefit from the extra attention. Organizers may also use such services to provide informative literature for the event’s revellers.
The concert begins at 6:00pm on Sunday September 1 at Pleasant Hill City Hall on Gregory Lane. Audience members are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs and arrive early to reserve a good spot on the grass. Admission and parking will both be free to all visitors. The Pleasant Hill Public Information Office can be contacted at 925 671 5229 for more information.
