The Rogers Ranch Heritage Center in Pleasant Hill will organize a comedy show in October to raise funds for its operations.
Laughs at the Ranch is an event organized by Contra Costa Comedy where people can watch live stand-up routines from two talented comedians. The headliner for the show is Michael Mancini, a performer with over 35 years of experience who was titled World's Funniest Cop after winning a competition hosted by Jay Leno. The feature act for the event is Jimmy Earl. He has shared the stage with George Wallace and been on tour with Russell Peters.
The Rogers Ranch Heritage Center is a volunteer-run organization that is home to the Succulent Society and Northern California Herb Society. The group's mission is to show the public why green sustainable living is important through public events and classes. People interested in helping the center can volunteer to join committees like the Marketing Committee and Education Committee. Students may become a member of the organization for $10.
The comedy show will be held on Saturday, October 1st at 6:00 pm. The venue will also be hosting a picnic at 4:00 pm with food provided by Farmer John's culinary students. Tickets can be bought for $25, and guests are asked to bring their own seats. Organizations that host comedic performances like this may promote their shows by using flyer printing.
