Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill will be hosting a public safety expo in April on its campus parking lots.
The Public Safety Expo and Job Fair is an event organized by Workforce Development and Career Education. Those who attend the convention will get to connect with representatives from more than 15 emergency response agencies. People will also learn more about careers in public safety positions like police officers and emergency responders. Applicants may incorporate unique Letterheads into their cover letters and resumés to stand out from other candidates.
There will be multiple presentations guests can watch while at the safety expo, including Passing the Physical Agility Test and Emergency Response Career Preparation. Many demonstrations will also take place at the fair involving groups like SWAT teams, K-9 teams, and motorcyclists. Attendees are asked to put on face masks when indoors at the expo and must be fully vaccinated when entering the college facilities. Visitors to the fair will need to complete a health assessment prior to the convention to receive a campus pass.
The Public Safety Expo and Job Fair will be held on Friday, April 15 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. The experience is free for everyone, and all guests must register to enter the expo. Most of the fair will take place outdoors, though a few demonstrations will be held inside.
