Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill will hold a fundraiser in May for its industrial programs.
The Diablo Valley College Great Designer Series Car Show is an event where people can support the university’s Industrial Design and Engineering Technology Programs. The campus’ programs will help students learn the necessary hands-on skills for several careers, including computer drafting, civil engineering, and technical drawing. Proceeds from the event will pay for student competitions, summer camps, and robotic clubs.
The special guest at the college’s car show is Tom Matano. He is the executive director at the Academy of Art University School of Industrial Design and the designer of the Mazda Miata. Vehicle owners who win during the event will earn a trophy made by students using computer numerical controlled machines. The community will be allowed to tour the campus’ facility at the show. Fundraisers similar to this can work with Print shops to design advertisements for the event.
The show will take place on Saturday, May 7 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The general price for entering the competition is $25, while the cost to enter student cars will be $5. Students can be in high school or college. A tent, table, and chairs can be rented for $100. The event will be held in Parking Lot 2 at the Diablo Valley College’s campus.Get a Free Quote for Print
