Play for a Stray will offer a basketball clinic for children in March at the Valley View Middle School in Pleasant Hill.
The Pleasant Hill Skyhawks Basketball Clinic is a skill-based program that helps kids gain an advantage on the court. The workshop is intended for children aged 6-11. The instructors will teach kids about ball control, passing the ball, and defensive strategies. The lesson also covers concepts such as teamwork and self-esteem. All coaches at the clinic will help create a positive environment for children and host friendly competitions for those of all skill levels with the students.
Play for a Stray is an organization that wants to benefit rescue dogs by using fun fundraisers to help them find forever homes. Funds earned from the group’s athletic clinics are used to keep dogs out of shelters and transfer them to foster homes. People and companies can support the organization by becoming a donor or sponsor. Businesses may sponsor a dog for $3,000, which includes social media shoutouts and a custom dog rescue plaque.
The basketball clinic will be held on Thursdays from March 16 to April 20, and each session of the workshop will be from 6:45 pm to 7:45 pm. Those who want to participate in the class must pay $160. Organizations that hold events for dogs like this may use printing services to make Flyers and Posters for their fundraisers.
