What's Happening in Pleasant Hill, CA…

Crabs and shamrocks combine for festival in Pleasant Hill

A unique St. Patrick’s Day celebration is on the horizon in Pleasant Hill, pairing savory seafood with a holiday-themed happy hour.

The Christ the King Church will host its Crab Feed and St. Patrick’s Day Celebration in a few weeks, and Pleasant Hill residents are invited to attend and add to the atmosphere. Attendees will be treated to various food options, including fresh crab, homemade Irish bread and soup, and Kinder’s ball tip.

The gathering will begin with a Happy Hour segment with a full Irish bar featuring spirits and Guinness beer on tap. The host venue will be decorated to match the St. Patrick’s Day theme, and attendees are asked to wear green to support the holiday. The 8th Grade Christ the King CYO (Catholic Youth Organization) team will serve the dinner, continuing the program’s tradition. Flyer printing is a cost-effective way to raise awareness of such events around the town.

Interested parties can bring wine from home, though guests who opt to do so will pay a $15 corkage fee or have the opportunity to return the bottle to their cars. VIP tables will be available to accommodate groups of 12.

The church will host the Crab Feed and St. Patrick’s Day celebration on Saturday, March 8, from 5:30 to 11:00 p.m. Tickets are $100 per attendee and can be purchased online.
