Business bootcamp to educate Pleasant Hill veterans

There will be a Small Business Bootcamp held at Diablo Valley College (DVC) this November in Pleasant Hill.

The Pitch & Plan Small Business Bootcamp is a workshop created by the DVC Business Administration Department and the DVC Veterans Alliance. Those who attend the bootcamp will be taught how to make personal business plans while being accompanied by business professionals. Veterans who attend the workshop can also pitch their business plans in front of a group of experts. All participating students will be given a copy of The One Page Business Plan.

The bootcamp will separate attendees into small groups so that all students will get to interact with the instructors closely. One-on-one mentorships will also be available during the course. Students can arrive early to network with attending entrepreneurs, representatives from the DVC Business Administration Department, and fellow veterans. People who go to group events such as educational workshops can Print custom Business Cards for their new contacts.

The Pitch & Plan Small Business Bootcamp will be held on November 2 from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. There is no fee to enter the presentation, though students can register for the course in advance. No prior business plan writing experience is necessary to attend the workshop, which will be held in the Diablo Room at the DVC campus
