Blues festival returns to Pleasant Hill

The Pleasant Hill Recreation & Park District will organize an in-person musical festival in July at Pleasant Hill Park.

The 11th Annual Blues & Brews Festival is an event where people can sample beverages from local breweries while listening to talented performers. The two-day fest will begin with a family-friendly experience that includes a free Kidzone. The performers for the pre-party include the Landbirds and The Big Jangle. Single pours of beer and wine can be purchased during the kick-off party.

The second half of the event is the main festival where legal drinkers can try samples from multiple breweries. This year, the participating vendors will include the Danville Brewing Company, Buck Wild Brewing, and Oakland United Beerworks. The fest will also feature concerts from Frankie G & The Conviction, Tia Carroll, and ZEBOP. People can become volunteers to help with ticket sales, clean the event, and take pictures of the festival.

The fest will be held on Friday, July 15 and Saturday, July 16. General admission will cost $65, and VIP passes are $85. The tasting event will take place from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Those with VIP tickets will receive early entry to the beer tent, an exclusive performance from Frankie G, and commemorative swag.
