Placentia creates artistic masterpieces
Budding artists can learn more about how to paint with acrylics at an upcoming craft event.
Placentia Library is offering a free art class in which adults will learn how to create a Van Gogh-inspired painting. As individuals paint their works of art, they will be treated to cheese, fruit, and other refreshments. This is a leisurely event and students are encouraged to socialize.
The event is one of many educational opportunities the library has to offer. Story times, self-publishing, and even yoga are some of the other programs hosted there.
Artists from Muckenthaler Cultural Center will teach the class in a gradual manner. Fondly nicknamed ‘The Muck’, the establishment is a creative outlet for the public. Located at the historic Muckenthaler Estate property, the center has exhibits, performances, and educational opportunities.
Both the library and cultural center have no doubt used a poster printing service to make promotional signs for the event. Informational posters could list the date, time, and location of the event.
Individuals with a full library card may register at the Placentia library. If a person fails to show up or makes a late cancellation, they may be charged $25.
It all takes place on September 21 from 1:30 pm until 4:00 pm in the quiet study area of the library, which can be found on 411 East Chapman Avenue. For more information, call 714-528-1906, extension 219.
