Caribbean music festival to hit Los Angeles

The BRT Weekend will touch down in Los Angeles' Cabrillo Beach this September for a three-day celebration of Caribbean music and culture. This travelling event bills itself as the world's largest Caribbean music festival.

BRT stands for Beach Road Trip. The event aims to draw in fans of the islands' music from LA and surrounding cities such as Huntington Beach and Placentia.

The BRT Weekend will begin with a warm-up party on Thursday night and concludes with a "90s vs. 2000s" after-party on Sunday. The main musical attractions will be Alkaline, a Jamaican dancehall artist known for his distinctive look, and Bunji Garlin, an award-winning ragga soca musician. The festival will also feature an assortment of Caribbean food, and events such as the "All White Grand Finale".

Now in its seventh year of existence, BRT consists of a six-stop tour with destinations in both the United States and Caribbean nations like the Dominican Republic. In Los Angeles, it will be just one of many musical festivals and other events catering to the city's diverse population. These events often use colorful or distinctive flyer printing and poster printing to grab the eye.

The BRT Weekend is set to take place between September 13 and 16. Tickets are available for individual shows or the whole weekend.
